Getting Ready for Your New Roof

Is it time for you to get a new roof? Whether you have had your home and roof since it was built or have recently moved into a new home knowing that the roof would need replacement soon, getting a new roof can feel like quite the undertaking, even when you are having it done by professionals! Here at BRAJAR Roofing Solutions, we work with homeowners all the time who are in need of a new roof, and we have come up with a few helpful tips that we hope will help you through the process of getting your new roof.

getting a new roof can feel like quite the undertaking

First, be considerate of your neighbors. A new roof will involve a lot of workers, perhaps extra parking needed, and quite a lot of noise. Leaving your neighbors a note (perhaps with a small bag of goodies) can go a long way in your neighborly relationships.

Second, be considerate of your roofers. While your roofers are there to take do a job, they can get it done more efficiently when they have things ready to go for them. This includes doing things like finding areas for them to park, moving equipment off of the deck or from around your home, and finding alternate places for your pets or children to keep them out of harm’s way.

Finally, clear out everything from the attic for easy access. This can help not only to protect your valuables, but make it easier for the roofers who might need to access parts of your roof from beneath.
